About Prince Hair Company

Who is Prince Hair Company?
Prince Hair Company is a Chicago based, Black woman owned brand founded by husband and wife team Kenyonda and Darius Prince. We specialize in premium virgin and raw human hair extensions, custom wigs, and our signature Original Stretch Tie Satin Bonnet to help you Sleep Pretty and protect your crown.

Are you Black owned and woman owned?
Yes. Prince Hair Company is Black owned and woman owned, with day to day operations led by co founder and owner, Kenyonda Prince.

Products and Quality

What type of hair do you sell?
We offer high quality virgin and raw human hair extensions and wigs. Our hair is Remy, cuticle aligned, and sourced from trusted factories that focus on consistent quality and fair labor practices.

What textures do you offer?
Textures may vary by collection, but typically include straight, body wave, loose wave, deep wave, curly and other popular textures. Please refer to each product listing for texture details, origin, and recommended use.

Is your hair 100 percent human hair?
Yes. Our virgin and raw hair collections are 100 percent human hair. We do not sell synthetic hair in those categories.

Can your hair be colored or heat styled?
Yes. Our virgin and raw hair can generally be colored and heat styled. We still recommend using a professional stylist for chemical services and always using heat protectant to maintain longevity.

Original Stretch Tie Satin Bonnet

What is the Original Stretch Tie Satin Bonnet?
The Original Stretch Tie Satin Bonnet is our signature, custom designed bonnet created by Prince Hair Company. It features a stretch tie design that allows you to adjust the fit so it stays put all night without squeezing your edges. It is perfect for natural hair, braids, locs, wigs, and protective styles.

What makes your bonnet different from regular bonnets?
Our bonnet is designed to be:

  • Adjustable and secure

  • Gentle on edges and hairline

  • Roomy enough for longer and fuller styles

  • Made with smooth satin fabric to help reduce friction and frizz

If traditional bonnets slide off or feel too tight, the stretch tie design usually solves those problems.

What size bonnet should I get?
We offer different sizes based on hair length, fullness, and style. Product listings include recommended hair types for each size. If you are unsure, email us at service@princehaircompany.com with a photo of your hair or style and we can help you choose.

Raw and Virgin Hair Preorders

Are all raw and virgin hair items preorder?
Yes. All raw and virgin hair must be preordered.

How long do preorders take?
Typically, it takes about 1 to 2 weeks for our factory to complete our hair orders. Once we receive your hair and your payment has fully processed, we ship your order within 24 hours on business days.

When will my preorder arrive?
After factory processing and our handling time, we typically ship using USPS Priority Mail or UPS which usually takes up to 4 days to arrive, depending on your location and USPS.

Please remember:

Please do not schedule any hair appointments or make any plans until you have the hair in your hand.

We cannot control factory timelines or postal delays, so it is always best to wait until your hair physically arrives before booking.

In Stock Items

Do you have any items in stock?
Yes. Some items may be marked as in stock. When an item is in stock and your payment has successfully processed, we typically ship within 1 business day.

How long does payment processing take?
Payment processing can take up to 3 business days depending on your bank or payment provider. Once your payment clears, we will begin processing and shipping your order.

Shipping and Delivery

Which shipping carrier do you use?
We currently ship through USPS for most domestic orders.

How long does shipping take?
Once your order has shipped, USPS generally delivers within 1 to 5 business days. Delivery times are estimates, not guarantees, and may be affected by weather, holidays, and USPS delays.

How will I know when my order has shipped?
You will receive an email notification once your payment has been processed and again when your order ships. The shipping confirmation email will include your tracking number.

Can you guarantee delivery dates?
No. We cannot guarantee specific delivery dates. We strongly recommend that you do not book hair appointments until you receive your hair and have checked it.

Returns and Refunds

What is your return window?
You must initiate a return request within 30 days of the delivery date shown on your tracking information.

How do I start a return?
To start a return, email us at service@princehaircompany.com with your:

  • Full name

  • Order number

  • Item you wish to return

  • Reason for return

  • Photos if the item is damaged, defective, or incorrect

We will respond with approval status and next steps.

What condition must returns be in?
Items must be:

  • Unused, unworn, and unwashed

  • In the original packaging

  • In the same condition you received them

Due to hygiene and safety, items that show signs of wear, tampering, or installation may not be eligible for return.

Who pays for return shipping?
For most returns, the customer is responsible for return shipping costs. Original shipping costs are non refundable. For damaged, defective, or incorrect items, we may cover return shipping or offer an alternative resolution at our discretion.

Do you accept exchanges?
We do not offer direct exchanges due to hygiene reasons. If you want a different item, please request a return for the original item (if eligible) and place a new order once your refund is processed.

Are sale or clearance items returnable?
Items clearly marked as final sale or clearance at the time of purchase are not eligible for return or refund, unless they arrive damaged, defective, or incorrect.

Custom Wigs and Special Orders

Do you offer custom wigs?
Yes. Prince Hair Company offers luxe custom human hair wigs. Availability and processing times for custom wigs can vary. Please refer to the product listing or contact us for current turnaround times and details.

Are custom orders refundable?
Custom and made to order items may have limited or no return eligibility, especially if they are made to your head size, color, or specific customization. Please review the details on the product page or contact us before ordering if you have questions.

Care and Maintenance

How do I care for my hair extensions and wigs?
General tips:

  • Use sulfate free shampoo and moisturizing conditioner

  • Detangle gently from ends to roots

  • Limit high heat and always use heat protectant

  • Store wigs and bundles in a cool, dry place when not in use

How do I care for my Stretch Tie Satin Bonnet?
We generally recommend:

  • Hand washing or machine washing on a gentle cycle in cold water

  • Air drying or using low heat if machine drying

  • Avoiding bleach or harsh detergents

Proper care helps maintain the look, feel, and longevity of the satin fabric.

Orders, Payments, and Account

What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept the payment methods offered at checkout, which may include major credit and debit cards and other digital payment options supported by Shopify Payments or our third party processors.

Can I change or cancel my order after placing it?
We cannot guarantee changes or cancellations once an order is placed, especially if it has begun processing. If you need a change, email service@princehaircompany.com as soon as possible with your order number and request, and we will do our best to assist.

Do I need an account to place an order?
You can usually check out as a guest, but creating an account makes it easier to view order history and track future purchases.
